Nestled in Mylapore, Chennai, this 450 sq. ft. apartment embraces functionality within a compact space. By removing all internal walls except the restroom, the layout achieves a seamless flow. Muted tones with a rust orange accent infuse warmth. Curved elements define areas without traditional doors. The living area features a black duco-painted curved desk and a bookshelf concealing a puja unit. The kitchen boasts rust orange duco-finished shutters and black veneer shelves. A granite breakfast counter with a checkered pattern and a grey curved dining table with integrated storage enhance the dining space. The utility area includes a tucked-in wash basin, customized mirror, and a hidden washing machine. The bedroom showcases a 5-inch raised platform with rust orange terrazzo tiles, sheer curtains for privacy, a sage green wardrobe, and a Malwale swing. The design emphasizes curves and arches, creating a harmonious environment without compromising functionality.
The master bedroom radiates elegance and sophistication, seamlessly blending shades of greys and with warm wood accents. A standout feature is the stunning 55-year-old poster bed, which holds a special place in the client’s family heirloom collection, adding a touch of history and charm to the space.
In contrast, the secondary bedroom embraces a serene palette of blue hues, creating a calming atmosphere. This room is beautifully accented by wardrobe shutters, which are adorned with intricate fabric patterns, enhancing the overall design and providing cozy yet stylish retreat.
Study room is an exquisite blend of vibrant peach hues that extend all the way to the ceiling, infusing the space with an eclectic and lively atmosphere. One of the most remarkable elements of this project is a stunning 150-year-old door sourced from the client's ancestral estate.

This captivating piece not only serves as a striking focal point in the living room but also tells a story of heritage and history.

Additionally, the wooden rafters gracefully enhance the room's depth and character, creating a harmonious balance that invites creativity and inspiration.
